Volunteering matters

Volunteering should be a rewarding experience for both the volunteer and the organisation. It offers a great way to support a cause you care about, meet new people, learn new skills or gain useful experience for work or college. In return, you will know that you are helping make a real difference to the lives of people in your community.

Shirley

"Volunteering has given me confidence to go out more and overcome my shyness. It’s been an amazing journey for me. I am happy to try new things now where I wouldn’t have been in the past. I was recently talking to someone who said they didn’t have much to fill her time. I was happy to tell her about my volunteering, and I hope she will take the step to get involved too."
