Improving the Volunteer Experience

Volunteers give so much to our organisations, it’s only right that we strive to ensure that they have a positive experience. Improving your volunteer experience will help build your organisation’s reputation helping you recruit more volunteers and keep them for a long time.

Our Volunteer Centre Service is available to offer help, advice and support to any organisation involving volunteers in its work.  Whether you are recruiting for the first time and want to build a strong foundation or are looking to review your volunteering strategy, we’re here to help.

You can email us at volunteering@wdcvs.com, call our helpline on 0141 941 0886 or book a surgery slot here.

It’s never been more important for groups to be able to show how good they are at involving and managing their volunteers. Regardless of the size or set up of your organisation, there are ways to be rewarded and recognised for the difference your volunteer programme makes.

Volunteer Friendly

The Volunteer Friendly Award is a user-friendly, nationally recognised quality standard designed to support, recognise and reward groups who are good at involving volunteers. The award follows a 6-step process and you can take 6-9 months to complete.
