Policy & Consultations
The third sector plays a vital role across all areas of West Dunbartonshire life. It’s important to make sure this is recognised in local and national policy-making and planning. That’s where we come in.
Given the sector’s breadth and reach it’s not possible to provide a single sector voice, instead our role is to champion the work and interests of the third sector and to ensure the voices of the networking forums is heard, included and promoted across the range of partnerships and structures.
Responding to formal consultations is also important and we aim to ensure a West Dunbartonshire sector submission is made in respect of each consultation exercise. By doing this, we can encourage open dialogue across a range of sector partners and inform new developments.
Opportunities to engage are promoted using our news section, e-bulletin and social media channels. For targeted consultations, you may also receive a direct invitation to participate. This could be by taking part in a telephone interview or focus group or completing a short questionnaire.
Copies of consultation responses made can be found in our Documents and Resources section.
We also encourage individual submissions from local organisations and are happy to talk you through the process and help you draft your response.
