Thanks to all sector colleagues who helped make the recent Third Sector Leadership Conference – Volunteers’ Week 2026, held at Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, such a successful day. Comprising a series of morning plenary sessions and post lunch workshops, the day offered opportunities for sector colleagues to connect with each other and discuss some of the significant social and policy issues facing West Dunbartonshire.
Special thanks to our marketplace stall holders – The National Lottery Community Fund, NHS24, NHSGGC, Scottish Parliament PAC Team, Home Energy Scotland & Police Scotland.
To our keynote speakers – Sara Cook & Gemma Hickey – Volunteering Matters (Youth Volunteering – Filling the 12-18 Gap), Michelle Alexander & Beth Anderson – Babcock International Group (Employer Supported Volunteering ESV).
And to our workshop leaders – Alan Crawford & Matthew Folan (Home Energy Scotland – Becoming a Partner), Lisa Martin & Lucy Dorrian NHSGGC (A Virtual Hospital – What Does That Mean For People And Communities), Rachel Hunter & Ewan Masson – The Scottish Parliament – Participation and Communities Team (Engaging with the Scottish Parliament) and Ruth Trainor, Climate Action Hub (Climate Change in West Dunbartonshire).
