The campaign aims to:

Increase awareness about the health and safety risks of hot weather, and the understanding of measures people can take to have a safe and responsible summer whether at home or out and about;

Encourage and motivate people in Scotland to take action to prepare for, respond to and recover from the effects of hot weather.

The Ready Scotland website provides advice for the public on how to prepare their home, family, and business for disruption caused by emergencies, including severe weather. It also provides information on how to respond, keep safe, and help others in the community when emergencies do occur.
