Develop Valuable Workplace Skills While Volunteering

A huge thank you to the students from West College Scotland – Clydebank Campus who volunteered with Alzheimer Scotland West Dunbartonshire for the last three months. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and compassion made a valuable contribution to Alzheimer’s and to the people they support.

Throughout their placement which WDCVS helped organise, the students gained practical experience, developed valuable workplace skills, and built confidence through working alongside the team and service users. They helped transform the outdoor space into an inviting environment that clients can fully enjoy.

To acknowledge the skills and experience gained during their placement, each student received a VISA Certificate that can be used to demonstrate their abilities to future employers, highlighting the skills and experience they developed during their volunteering journey.

If you are interested in gaining experience, developing new skills, and making a positive difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteering offers a rewarding opportunity to learn, grow, and support others while enhancing your CV and future career prospects.
