VIVA Awards 2025: (Valuing Involvement and Volunteering Achievements)

Winners have been announced, you can view the results and images from the VIVA Awards 2025

Volunteering is a key, but often under recognised, social bond supporting the communities of West Dunbartonshire.  Volunteers provide essential services, willingly giving their time and skills for no financial reward. Whatever you do and wherever you go, it’s likely you will come into contact with a volunteer at some point in your day – though you may not realise it.

The VIVA awards, organised by West Dunbartonshire CVS the third sector support agency, are a celebration of the unique contribution volunteers make across the authority.

Submissions will be assessed by an independent judging panel, and three individuals or organisations shortlisted in each of the following categories:

Award Categories

Recognising an outstanding individual, volunteering and making a significant contribution to the local community through commitment, service, creativity, co-operation and leadership

Recognising those aged 11-25 years making an active and significant contribution to the community, demonstrating responsibility, accountability and making a real difference in their community

Recognising a volunteer-led group of two people or more providing a service and meeting a community need. It must be run locally, and supported, recognised and respected by the local community and the people who benefit

Recognising the efforts of Managers and Coordinators, paid or unpaid, who support and facilitate the engagement of volunteers across West Dunbartonshire

That special person in your community that goes the extra mile. The person who makes other people’s lives that bit better, or simply puts a smile on people’s faces by bringing the community together
