VIVA Awards 2024 – Finalists and Winners

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners at the VIVA Awards 2024! And a MASSIVE THANK YOU to our superb host Stephen Halkett. 

Organised by West Dunbartonshire CVS, the VIVA Awards are a celebration of the unique contribution volunteers make across the authority. 

This years winners are: 

Volunteer of the Year  
Winner – James Ramage, Children’s Hospices Across Scotland 
Finalist – Adeniyi Opebiyi, African Connect 
Finalist – Harry McCormack, West Dunbartonshire Tenants & Residents Organisation (WDTRO) 

Young Volunteer of the Year 
Winner – Lynsey McSwiggan, Clyde Shopmobility 
Finalist – Alicia Burns, The Phoenix 
Finalist – Dayna Wilson, Ysortit West Dunbartonshire 

Volunteer Manager of The Year 
Winner – Jamie MacLean, Mentor Scotland 
Finalist – Liz Stewart, DBC Community Pantry & Drop in Cafe 
Finalist – Caitlin Watson, Vale of Leven Trust 

Volunteer Involving Organisation of the Year 
Winner – Friends of Leven River Valley West Dunbartonshire 
Finalist – Bellsmyre Digital Community 
Finalist – Clyde Shopmobility 

Unsung Volunteering Hero 
Winner – Sandra Scott and Annie Tausney, West Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau 
Finalist – John Copeland, Brain Injury Experience Network 
Finalist – Carla Valentini, Clydebank Musical Society – CMS 

We were also delighted to make a special award to Moira Swanson who sadly passed away, for her contribution to the work of Dumbarton District Women’s Aid. Sincere thanks to her family who attended to receive the award in her honour.
