Despite lots of opportunities for renewable energy, many communities across Scotland struggle to access and benefit from natural resources on our doorstep.
Community Energy means projects developed by the community and ‘profit’ that is managed locally and reinvested to meet local need, for example, through community action plans.
Join the West Dunbartonshire Climate Hub and Community Energy Scotland to hear first hand experiences of community groups who own and manage renewable energy infrastructure and use the ‘profits’ for community benefit. Learn about taking on a windfarm, installing solar PV on schools, or developing Scotland’s first community owned battery.
