Connect, learn and take action for biodiversity in West Dunbartonshire

January 27 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm

Community groups, volunteers and anyone passionate about biodiversity are warmly invited to our Biodiversity Network Meeting on 27th January, 2–4pm at the WDCVS Office, Arcadia Business Centre, G81 1UJ

Hosted by the Climate Action Hub, this inspiring afternoon will bring together local organisations, researchers and community groups who are actively protecting and restoring nature across West Dunbartonshire. You’ll hear practical examples, share ideas and discover ways to get involved—whether you manage a green space, run activities with volunteers, or have an area you’d like ideas for.

What’s on the programme?

2:00 – 2:10 – Welcome and intro from Ruth Trainor
2:10 – 2:30 – WDC Greenspace Team – Biodiversity in West Dunbartonshire
2:30 – 2:45 – Friends of Havoc Meadows – Biodiversity monitoring in Havoc Meadows
2:45 – 3:00 – Discussion and networking time
3:00 – 3:10 – Break
3:10 – 3:25 – TCV – TCV sites and citizen science
3:25 – 3:40 – Lomond Community Gardens & Allotments – Beekeeping and biodiversity
3:40 – 4:00 – Discussion and networking time

There will be plenty of time to network, share experiences and build connections with others working for nature locally.
Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

Whether you’re an established group or just getting started, this is a great opportunity to learn, collaborate and strengthen biodiversity action in our communities.
