Dementia Friendly West Dunbartonshire
Dementia Friendly West Dunbartonshire (DFWD) is a grassroots initiative to improve dementia awareness across the authority area.
Dementia touches everyone.
In a Dementia Friendly Community, people living with dementia and their carers feel understood, respected, supported and included and know that they have choice and control in their lives. DFWD supports and encourages individuals, groups, agencies and communities across West Dunbartonshire to identify and take steps to make everyday activities and services more accessible.
We offer a programme of free awareness sessions. So far, over 3,000 people have attended and have made pledges to make a difference. To join them, contact us to find details of a local session or arrange an individual session for your organisation.
