Programme For Neighbourhoods – Clydebank

Back in 2023, the Westminster government announced that Clydebank had been selected to receive an endowment style fund to the value of £20 Million over 10 Years.

Last year organisations and community members from across Clydebank took the opportunity to have their say on how the fund should be used. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Your feedback identified a range of key activities which have been included in the plan:

· Creating a more welcoming and accessible town centre
· Better lighting and interventions to increase feelings of safety, day and evening
· Improving walking and cycling routes, encouraging communities to meet and share time together
· And, improving public transport access and strengthening the connections between the town centre and surrounding communities.

The change in Westminster Government in July 2024 led to a pause in the process and some alterations in how the programme will work.

The money is secure – but the Programme Board has been asked to refresh the plan before resubmitting later this year – and we want to be sure that you again have your chance to get involved.

Clydebank based organisations will again be able to receive an engagement grant of between £100 and £200 to support you to feed in your views between now and 26th September 2025.

The process is easy, you can sign up here.

Or alternatively you can call WDCVS on 0141 941 0886 or email us at info@wdcvs.com and we will get you connected.

We look forward to hearing your views.
