SAMH consultation on new CAMHS website

SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) is consulting with young people, parents/carers and professionals around the design, contents and usability needs of a new NHSGGC CAMHS website. CAMHS Is the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services and offers specialist support to children and young people whose mental health problems are affecting their ability to live well.

They would be grateful for your input to ensure that this website meets the needs of young people, their families and other adults around them.

During this 90 minute session you will have the opportunity to tell what you believe should be included on this website around Design, Contents and Features. They will explore other CAMHS websites https://www.mindmate.org.uk/ and https://www.seftonliverpoolcamhs.com/ and consider what you like, dislike, find useful and not useful. It would be really helpful if you had the opportunity to browse these briefly in advance of the session, but no worries if you don’t get time.

They are interested to include those parents/carers with direct experience of CAMHS and even those who have never heard of it before.  Please note that you will not be expected to share personal stories but during the session SAMH will explore young people’s mental health in general and share resources that parents/carers may find useful when looking after their own wellbeing, while supporting their child.

They would like to record this session to ensure their notes reflect views accurately.

If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to share your views they can send you a short online survey. Your help is greatly appreciated around this important project.

For this focus group, SAMH are looking to hear from parents/carers of children aged 11 years plus.
