The fund officially opens 29th September – 8th December 2023.
The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults opens for year 3 grants on 29th September 2023. The Fund focusses on prevention and early intervention and looks to support grass roots community activity in tackling mental health inequalities and address priority issues of social isolation and loneliness, suicide prevention and tackling poverty and inequality.
Applications are welcome from community and third sector organisations in the following activity areas:
1. Tackling mental health inequalities through supporting a range of ‘at risk groups’.
2. Addressing priority issues of social isolation and loneliness, suicide prevention and poverty and inequality with a particular emphasis on responding to the cost of living crisis and support to those facing socio-economic disadvantage.
3. Provide opportunities for people to connect with each other, build trusted relationships and revitalise communities.
National organisations undertaking initiatives in West Dunbartonshire are not excluded but are not the main focus of the Fund. Funded organisations do not need to have to have mental health and wellbeing as their sole focus, but, as this is the purpose of this Fund, applications must clearly outline the benefit to the mental health and wellbeing of people in their community.
Please read the guidance note carefully before completing an application.
Application forms can be downloaded here.
The fund will close on Friday 8th December.
Awards will be made in January 2024
